Know Your Customer

About this book

Every weekday at seven, Imogen Strand walks from Spain across Gibraltar's airport runway to a job doubting people. She is the Money Laundering Reporting Officer at an online gaming company, and she believes nothing escapes her. Then Elias Ruano, a charming bunkering-barge owner and her firm's biggest poker customer, turns up losing tens of thousands of pounds a month to the same three accounts. The law says report him. The chief executive says keep him. Imogen does neither. She finds the harbour bar where he drinks and tells herself it is an investigation. But Elias knows exactly who she is, and in a town between two borders, someone is watching them both. A dark, sharp-witted romance about danger, desire and the stories we tell to remain the heroine.
