Writer mode is an advanced mode for authors who will sell their book outside Novelist. If you just want a novel to read or to give as a gift, a regular novel is simpler and much cheaper.

Edit every page, rewrite passages with AI from your own notes, read the editorial report and prepare a launch kit with a description and keywords.
Your editions
Finalize an edition: Novelist makes its EPUB, its PDFs and the files Amazon KDP asks for, with an edition number and a verification code.

The license, up front
Before you pay, you accept the Novelist Writer License. In short:
You can
Sell and distribute finalized editions of this book anywhere, in any format, under your name or a pen name, and keep all your royalties: Novelist takes no share.
You must
Keep the co-creation credits (title page, edition notice, colophon and back-cover line) exactly as generated in every edition, format and translation, declare AI-generated content wherever a store asks, and publish only finalized editions.
You must not
Remove, hide, shrink or alter the credits, present the book as written only by you, or sell or publish a draft.
If the rules are broken
The commercial license ends for every edition of this book, the book must be withdrawn from sale, and Novelist may take legal action, including claiming damages.
Good to know
Novelist never sells or publishes your book. In some countries, AI-generated text may not be protected by copyright, while your own contributions are yours.
One price per book
No subscription: you pay once per novel, and its Writer Studio stays yours. When the AI allowance runs out you can keep editing by hand, or buy an AI pack for that book.
Before you start
Every edition carries the co-creation credits, and stores may ask you to declare AI-generated content: be ready to say how the book was made.
Amazon KDP does not publish every language. Before you pay, the wizard shows what it accepts for your book's language.
In some countries, text generated by AI may not be protected by copyright, while what you write yourself is yours.
