Shardfall Secrets

About this book

In the fractured skyline of Shardfall, a post-apocalyptic megacity composed of skyscrapers toppled into precarious vertical islands, seventeen-year-old Lena Voss survives by navigating the deadly gaps between clans. A 'shard-runner' for the nomadic Dustfox Clan, Lena trusts only her own agility and the rusting ziplines that connect the survivors above the toxic cloud layer. But when a rare summit truce is shattered by the murder of Arbiter Kael, Lena is found at the scene and framed for the crime by the ruthless Summit Lord Riven. Forced into hiding, she teams up with Theo Marek, a brilliant but grieving tinkerer from the rival Eclipse Clan who harbors his own suspicions about the city's history. Together, they must decode a cryptic token found on the victim and unravel a conspiracy that threatens to plunge the remaining clans into eternal darkness. As they race across swaying catwalks and descend into the forbidden underfog, Lena and Theo discover that the history of the 'Collapse Cascade'—the event that broke the world—is a lie, and the truth is far more dangerous than the fall itself.
