The Cartographer of Whispering Winds

About this book

In the fragmented archipelago of Szellvar, where islands float in the sky and are tethered by ancient, humming chains, mapping the treacherous currents is a forbidden art. Jóska 'Jojo' Kerekes, a young aerial navigator with a talent for hearing the wind's secrets, discovers an uncharted wind stream that whispers of a lost continent—the legendary Tierra del Sol—rumored to hold the cure for the creeping Grey Rot consuming their floating homes. Joined by Qori, a stoic warrior from the lower cloud-strata, and Zana, a disgraced academic seeking redemption, Jojo defies the ruling Sky Council to chart a course into the unknown. Their journey takes them through storms of crystallized lightning and forests of floating coral, challenging not only their courage but their understanding of the world's very foundation. As they venture deeper into the unexplored expanse, they realize the Grey Rot is not a disease, but a symptom of a world unraveling, and the only way to save their home is to uncover a truth the Council has killed to keep buried.
