Arthur soon realizes the Axis forces have recovered the original, suppressed Mercator plates and are traversing the 'Between'—an alien dimension overlapping our own. As Joost flees the Inquisition by navigating the spatial tears of the 16th century, Arthur must decode the cartographer's impossible geometry to stop a Nazi dimensional invasion in the 20th. Both men, separated by centuries but united by the same cursed map, are forced to confront cosmic horrors that lurk just behind the lines of latitude and longitude.
