Spore & Circuit: A Willow Drift Mystery

About this book

In the bioluminescent orbital township of Willow Drift, eighteen-year-old mechanic Riley "Spark" Navarro and their tight-knit crew of friends navigate the gritty, R-rated underbelly of their home—a community built from repurposed cargo modules and fiercely guarded independence. When the annual Glow Harvest festival turns chaotic due to tainted hallucinogenic kegs causing gruesome, near-lethal reactions among festival-goers, the official narrative blames faulty corporate agri-tech. Spark, along with brew apprentice Jax Hale, xenobotanist Lena Voss, and artist hacker Theo Kane, suspects foul play originating much closer to home. As they investigate steam-filled hydroponic tunnels, zero-g lounges, and the dark secrets of their neighbors, they uncover a plot involving "ghost spores" designed to bankrupt the town and force a corporate buyout. Battling personal demons—from addiction temptations to invasive heritage inks—the quartet must rely on their unique skills to expose a betrayer within their midst before the sabotage vents their habitat into the void.
